About

Adilson Campos Alexandre Junior was born in August 24th, 1977, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He started having drums lessons at the age of 7. At that period, he dedicated himself to study different musical rhythms and rudiments.

In 1990 Adilson was introduced to Heavy Metal in general (Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal and Hard Rock), he was fascinated by many bands, such as: Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, King Diamond, Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Sepultura, Van Halen and etc. Shortly afterwards came the Progressive Rock and Jazz Rock and bands like: Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, Camel, Dixie Dregs, ELP, Focus, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Kansas, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Le Orme, PFM, Tribal Tech, UK and musicians like Allan Holdsworth, Bill Bruford, Chad Wackerman, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Jeff Berlin, John Coltrane, Mike Stern, Miles Davis, Simon Phillips, Steve Smith, Terry Bozzio, Tony Williams and many others were responsible for solidifying his drumming style.

In 1992, still with 14 years old, he joined Scars Souls. In less than a year he recorded the songs: "Sky Is Falling", "Blood Money" and "Damned Alibis". "Sky Is Falling" was released in the compilation called Brasil Alternativo Volume 3. "Blood Money" and "Damned Alibis" were released in another compilation called Garage Voices, release in 1994.

At the age of 19, Adilson Alexandre along with his band Scars Souls released their debut album self titled. This album was recorded in 1995 and released in 1996. Two years later, a new album was released, this second one called Troia. This album marked the band's style as Progressive Metal, once the first album had some compositions oscillated between heavy songs and other rock and roll. Troia gave the band international repercussions.

"Schizophrenia?", the second song of album Troia also appears in the collection called Planet Metal 5, as a matter of fact, Planet Metal was a magazine about this musical genre. This fact gave even more projection to the band.

In parallel, Adilson attended as a musician in a Theater show called UBU! of Grupo Sobrevento. The piece, an adaptation of "Ubu Roi" by Alfred Jarry, made to commemorate the 100th anniversary and 10 years of Grupo Sobrevento.

A couple years later, Scars Souls recorded the third album called Highbreed, the album was recorded in 2005 and released in 2006 by Masque Records.

In mid-2011 he moved to United States due to professional matters not related with music. After two years living in US, back in Brazil, in 2014 became part of Æther, a Progressive Rock band. Now they will start to work in a new album.
